Chapter 1 - The Transfer Student

It's the first day of School and I'm very nervous. 

I'm a transfer student from Niigata and this is the first time I'm in Tokyo. My father doesn't approve my transfer but, luckily, my sister, Ume is very persuasive and she lives in Tokyo because of her work. 

It's my first day at Shinjuku High, and I haven't really talked to anyone. Most of my classmates are already in groups. It seems all of them were classmates since middle school (so I've heard), Yeah, I feel like an "outsider". 

Since I was all alone and I sit way back at the classroom, I can easily getaway from sleeping. I slowly put my head on my chair's table and decided to rest for awhile. My eyes are slowly closing and I thought to myself, no one would even bother that I'm here. 

"Is this how's going to be like?"
"Would this be my life everyday?"
"It's already been a month and I have no friends"

*tap*
*tap*

I can hear someone tapping my desk. It's annoying. I don't want to open my eyes yet. I'm already alone and free. I'm already used to it. Come on! (The tapping continues)

He continuously tap my desk and I guess, he is trying to wake me up. So, I slowly opened my eyes and I saw a guy in-front of me. I didn't utter a word, I just looked at him annoyed.
 

"Hey, Takahashi-san? You might want to go home." the annoying guy said. 

I'm still slow since I just woke up. I can feel a drool falling off from my lips. But, I quickly covered it. I did feel embarrassed but I'm still annoyed because he woke me up.

"Do you always sleep during our class?" he said.
"Of course not! " I sarcastically replied.
"You're the transfer student, right?" he asked.
"Yes... Why?" I feel annoyed as I don't know this guy.

"I see. Okay, see you tomorrow!" he says while he turns around and walks out of our classroom. But, then he quickly runs back and said, "By the way, wipe out that drool, transfer student!"

"That Idiot. I already... ", Oh wait there is. Now, I feel more embarrassed. I quickly pack my things and left the school.

"I wonder, what his name is."
"Is he a classmate?"
"I think I've seen him before..."

 
I thought to myself while walking back home. My sister lives just a few blocks from the school, so it's very convenient.

I decided to drop by at the convenience store. I thought of buying a few things before going home. As I was checking out a new magazine, some guy just bumped me and it hit a nerve.

As I was about to yell at the guy, I looked and it was him.

"AHHHH!!! You again!" I shouted inside the store while pointing at him.
"Yo! Transfer Student!" he responded and smiled.

"What are you doing here? " I said with a plain face.
"Haha, I was waiting for you." he says while teasing me back.

I blushed and didn't respond. I don't know what I should do. Is he really waiting for me?

"Haha, just kidding! Idiot!" he said while smiling then he walks away. I should ask his name since he might be a classmate and I haven't really talked to anyone at school besides him.

"Wait a minute!" I said. "What's your name STUPID?" I Shouted.
"Is that how you ask someone's name? Haha", He teasingly, responded.

I didn't utter a word as I was annoyed and embarrassed... but I wanted an answer. So I stood there making an eye contact.

"Alright... My name is Takao Asano.", he said while he turns his back on me and waves.
"Don't be late for school tomorrow, Takahashi-san!" he shouts.

I felt annoyed but I'm relieved that I, now, I know someone from School. Which is the first step of getting friends. I hope tomorrow will be a good day.

I arrived at my Sister's place late and she was worried.

"Where the hell have you been?" Ume said.
"I'm alright! Jeez! I just talked to a classmate!", I responded.

Then my sister's eyes went wide open and it's clear that she's happy for me. She suddenly, became so positive like flowers are blooming around her. Then, she quickly prepared our dinner and tries to feed me a lot.

After that weird dinner. I went upstairs to my room so I can finish my homework.

"Ahhhh.... This is so tiring! At least I finished my homework. Time for Dragon Oh!" I told myself while getting excited to play my game.

It went on till 2 O'clock in the morning and that's the time I decided to sleep because I have school at 8 O'clock.
